does not have lode stone as advertised!

This is a nice magnet kit for children. I bought it for my 9 year old. He was disappointed because the description claims it contains lode stone (natural magnetic stones) but it does not. The other magnets are nice though.

Fun! Lost all the pieces!

Yes, I have a 7 year old son and I personally love magnets. I think this product should come with a little case to carry the pieces. We lost a lot of them within the first week of just letting him go with it- and the rest were lost over the course of about 6 months.. we still see a piece running around sometimes.. but it would have been nice to have something to put all the stuff in so that it was easy for a kid. It was fun while it lasted. I think the magnets could be stronger. They are not strong enough to hurt you if they come clashing together though, so that is good. (Could be stronger)
Some ideas-- He REALLY loved the gyroscope I got him, with the floating magnets and the prism. Also a good idea is a magnifying glass, and a bug cage-- If you and your kids love nature and science.

Great kit for kids

I got this kit for my 4.5-year-old daughter and she loves it. She has a lot of fun doing all the experiments with the magnets. Only problem was that the kit was advertised as including a lodestone, which it does not. Otherwise, though, it is really good.
