Amazon.com Product Description
Depending on where you live-and depending on where you keep the crystal-you may be in need of Quakehold!'s museum gel. Here's how it works: simply pinch off a bit of the non-toxic gel and adhere it to the bottom of the object you want to secure, then place it on the shelf. The gel will hold it fast in the event of an earthquake. If you ever want to move the object to another location, simply twist and pull to separate it from the shelf. The gell is fully reusable, and it doesn't leave marks on wood or other materials.--Josh Dettweiler

Great for renters
This gel is good stuff for renters who don't want to affix items permanently but want to do some creative things - for example, our bathroom sink was missing the decorative caps on the top of the faucet handles - I used the Museum Gel to hold two vintage glass marbles there - whimsical & removable! Have used it for several other like items.
Museum Gel
Product as advertised but the ad does not say that it is best used on glass shelves, not on wood. I needed it for the latter so I haven't used it.
Clear Museum Gel works as advertised - good price
Worked well at keeping a top heavy vase in its place, despite having two cats who enjoy tipping over breakables. I'd give it 5 stars, but there is a litte movement in the vase if you give it a firm push. But to be fair, the surface is a little grainy and pourous. I'd certainly buy again from Amazon given the price and convenience.
